Jack Carstens
Financial Planner

Jack is an Investment Advisor Representative with SagePoint Financial, Inc. and brings 30 years of business experience to his clients.  Since 1999, he has worked exclusively in the financial industry.  He is also a Registered Financial Consultant, schooled in marketing and finance from Purdue University and studied the Certified Financial Planning curriculum through Boston University.

In 2010 Jack felt a need to help the suddenly single again (divorced, widowed). He became a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, was trained as a mediator and completed interdisciplinary and advanced collaborative divorce training.   

He believes in using a "personal" down to earth approach to help reduce anxiety and simplify his client's lives.  His goal of moving people forward both financially and emotionally is sincere and heartwarming.

  • He also holds securities registrations for the series 7, 63, and 66, as well as insurance licenses for life, health, long term care and annuity products. 
  • He has extensive business experience in sales management, marketing and finance. 
  • Jack lives with his wife, Barbara and dog Bella in Waterloo, Illinois; while keeping very close ties to his daughter, Kaitlyn, a nurse with Ranken Jordan Hospital.
  • He enjoys golf, sailing, cooking, reading a good mystery, traveling, enjoying a glass of wine and staying active in community organizations.
